iFeatures Comes To Glasgow
iFeatures are holding a free Glasgow event for Scottish filmmakers interested in the their low budget feature film initiative. During the iFeatures Roadshow event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet iFeatures Executive Producer Christopher Granier-Deferre and network with other filmmakers.
The iFeatures scheme is a Creative England, BFI, BBC Films and Creative Skillset funded project. From the 16 projects chosen to go into development, 3 will be produced on a budget of £350,000 each.
This Glasgow event is supported by Creative Scotland and running as part of Glasgow Film Festival. It will be held in the CCA on Tuesday 25th February from 19:00 to 21:00.

Low Budget Short Film Prize
A fantastic new competition has launched for low budget short filmmakers. The Skinny / Innis & Gunn Short Film Competition aims to find the best short film made in Scotland and produced for under £1,000. The winner will be given a £3,000 budget to make a second short film which will premiere at next year’s Glasgow Short Film Festival.
The panel judging the competition includes DigiCult’s Paul Welsh and representatives from The Skinny, Innis & Gunn and the Glasgow Short Film Festival.
Individuals or groups of filmmakers are welcome to submit their films to The Skinny by 30th June 2014. Please check The Skinny’s website for details on entry requirements and how to submit your film. Good luck everyone!
Exchange and Mart scoops Audience Award at GSFF
Cara Connolly and Martin Clark’s Exchange and Mart won the Scottish Audience Award at the Glasgow Short Film Festival. The winners for all GSFF awards were announced on Sunday evening.
This follows Exchange and Mart’s world premiere at Sundance and European premiere at Berlin Film Festival earlier this year.
Congratulations to Cara Connolly, Martin Clark, producers Maeve McMahon and Phoebe Grigor and the rest of the crew involved. What a fantastic achievement!
iFeatures scheme now open to Scottish filmmakers
Attention all filmmakers! iFeatures, the low budget Feature Film Initiative, are calling for entries from all over the UK.
Although the scheme originates from England, entries from Scotland and the rest of the UK are eligible if the stories are set in English regions outside London.
